All Dolled Up

Emme got all dolled up yesterday while I was not looking. She applied a beautiful shade of black mascara to her pout. I think she was going for the gothic look! It is amazing how fast she can get into something!

We have stayed busy running errands a playing. We of course have been swimming and have a couple of play dates set up this week. Fun, Fun, Fun!

Hilarious!

I just walked in to Emme's room like I always do every night to change her diaper and cover her up...When I walked in, she had her bottom in the air and coughed and just about blew out the back of her pants!! I am sure she felt much better after that explosion! The part that was so funny, was...she had her very cute zebra and hot pink Pjs on with.......her goloshes (i have not idea how to spell/rainboots). Too precious, they are her very favorite shoes and insists on wearing as often as possible.
We had a great day. We spent a little time with Daddy before he had to head back the fire station. Mainly we just hung out and played at home.
I LOVE YOU MISS EMME. YOU ARE AN AMAZING SWEET BABY GIRL.
LOVE, MOMMY

We are back.

Well, we are back. We took off on Monday to my sister, Bridget's house to visit her and her family. We had a great time. It is always fun to go to someone else's house and be treated like a guest. She made our meals, had our beds ready, and entertained us. It was quite a nice visit going downtown to shop. We made a big splurge purchase and bought Daddy some Jalepeno Pickles!!! A whole $5 bucks!
We returned yesterday and ran errands with Daddy. When Daddy is present, Emme is glued. She loves her Daddy to hold her or just give any attention. He is always so good to her, he lets her tag along on his errands and they almost always make a trip to Home Depot!
Today, we had a slow morning, I made breakfast, sipped coffee, and E ran around. Then we ran off to gymnastics. At gymnastics, Emme is a superstar! She loves the rope swing into the foam pit. She is the about one of the only ones in her class that will swing on the rope and fall into the foam pit. She loves it.
I mentioned I made breakfast...let me tell you what I made.,,Turkey sausage and eggs with butternut squash puree mixed in. Emme could not even taste it. I could not even taste it. While at my sisters, she introduced a cook book I had actually bought and gave to her written by Jerry Seinfeld's wife called Deceptively Delicious. It is a life saver for me. We have been struggling for the past 6 months when E learned she no longer wanted to eat things that were good for her....so now I can dump some veggie puree in everything she eats. You can use babyfood too, it is easier and faster. I also made an apple dip I fed to my very unhealthy brother. It was a peanut butter, chocolate, cream cheese dip with carrot puree. So quick and easy and he never knew!! You must get the book if your kids are picky like mine. Maybe I should get paid for my endorsement!!!
Well, I am off to clean the house while E naps, we have hair appointments this afternoon. I will be sure to send before and after shots of her locks! I love her with pig tails, but there is just something about a short bob I can't resist for her.

Fun, Fun, Fun!

Miss Emme swimming in her fancy life jacket!
Emme Fueling up on Cheetos! Mommy and Daddy took Miss Emme to Wet Zone yesterday for a little fun. She loved it. She really liked that there were lots of shoes lying around that she could put on. Just Kidding. Although she loves a great pair of shoes, she really was very interested in the spraying water and the pool that she could touch in. We did not stay too long, because nap time was soon upon us. She had a great nap and enjoyed the special day with Mom and Dad. These are the times I love to remember.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

All the cousins swimming together! Patriotic Princess

Well, it's been a long time.....

We have been so busy with the surgery, company, the holiday, and now we can finally rest.

Yeah Right!!!

The fourth was so much fun. We got up Friday morning and Emme was in the parade for the city. She drove her little pink car all decorated patriotically. She enjoyed a lot of the ride, but after about a mile, she was hot and tired of sitting, so Daddy carried her to the end. Then we headed over to Aunt Holly's house for a day of swimming and eating.

Emme played in the pool all day and then got our showers and Heidi, Hannah, and Grant put on a mini fireworks show for us in Holly's yard. It is actually against the law, but we just had small stuff like sparklers and things that went on the ground.

Then it was off to bed for all of us. A day in the sun is so tiring for anyone, not to mention all the good food we munched on all day!

So now, my parents have gone home and we are back to normal everyday life. This morning we got up and went outside to play with the dogs. Yeah, you heard me right. We got Jorge back after missing him and feeling extremely guilty and we are allowing my brother, J.D to let his dog live here while he is in town doing his internship. So we played with Jorge and Hank, a 50 pound black lab puppy. Emme loves the puppies and gets really excited and makes her arms flap and really breathy yells "puppy, puppy, puppy etc..."

Then Heidi and Hannah came over and we loaded up and went to a park we had never been to before in Rowlett. It was wonderful and surprisingly enough it had a greater part of the park in the shade. The girls loved it. So now we are home and Emme is sound asleep in her bed and I can actually take a moment to myself and catch up before we have errands to run and a workout that must take place today!

Oh yeah, last week my parents were here all week, and that was wonderful. I absolutely love it when I am with my parents (never thought I would say that!). They make me feel safe and comfortable. The whole time they were here, they kept worrying about wearing out their welcome. They in fact never do and I can't wait until they come back!! My mom, Emme, and I mulched the flower beds and planted some new plants and then my dad and I helped David one day mow yards because his worker did not show up. My dad is a ver hard worker, and David said he wished my Dad could always help him because he is so fast and does a great job. Anyways, this week, we have David's brother staying with us. So needless to say, we have had a house full for a while. I think I am ready to go to someones house and be treated like a guest!!!!!

All Better

Well, I can't beleive that my daughter had surgery Monday morning at 7:45 am and we were home eating breakfast by 10 am. She was feeding herself and of course entertaining everyone. By the afternoon she was ready to play outside and resumed her normal schedule and routine Tuesday morning. After an hour run with her Pops (Emme in the stroller), she help me and Mimi mulch our newly planted flower bed and off for a quick lunch and long nap. She even attended her cousin, Grants, T-ball game this evening!

It is quite amazing how a little body can just bounce back so easily. She has never complained of any pain or whined about anything!

We received great news today, that spite her tubes in her ears, she is allowed to go swimming on Friday, The 4th of July!!! She will be thrilled, because I was dreading to tell he "No No" all day long at my sisters house.

Anyways, we are just fabulous here at our house, I am sorry I ever wasted the energy being nervous and preparing for the "Big Day"!!!!!

I have attached a video of Emme right before her surgery, and a picture of Emme at the top in her car just a couple of hours after her surgery!!! You would have never known she went under the knife only hours before!
